Portable Licence: This portable program is provided free of charge for use on a memory stick and is not to be copied to any computer hard drive. Simply download the zip file (to the memory stick if you wish). Then open the zip file and extract the contents to your memory stick. A folder will be created 'Olltwit Portable Apps'. Inside you will find the program folder. Double click the program file inside that directory to run. Installation versions of these programs can be found here.

A fun, addictive game to help with improving memory skills. 4 sets of picture games are included in the download and there is a facility within the program to make your own Picture Pair games.

How To Play

On the first screen choose a game to play by dropping down the list of available picture folders and choosing one. The idea of the game is to match the pictures.

On the main screen you will see 24 tiles. Hidden behind 12 of the tiles are different pictures. The other 12 pictures are exactly the same as the first 12. They are all mixed up and you can only be shown two at a time.

Click on a tile to show the picture, then click on another to see if you get a match. If they match then they stay visible. If not they become hidden again. The scoring is a possible 100 points for each matching pair. Every second, 1 point is deducted from this figure. Also each mouse click deducts one point for each click. This 100 points reduces to a minimum of 10 so that a score can be made by any player. The less you click and the quicker you find the pairs, the higher your score. At the end of the game, if you have a high score you will be able to enter it in the High Score Table.

Edit/Create Pictures Screen

This is accessed from the top menu under Options. Here you can easily make your own set of 12 pictures to play in the game. Simply find a folder of pictures on your computer using the Browse button on the left of the screen. Then select pictures from the list on the left that appears. This picture will show in the centre and be resized by height to the size needed for Picture Pairs. Use the controls under this picture to move it about, zoom in and out, until you are happy with the picture shown in the red square. Then click the camera, snapshot button to capture the image shown in the red square. A name for your new picture will be asked for and then it is saved in the folder on the right hand side. Each folder on the right can contain only 12 pictures and new folders can be created by clicking the Create Folder button. Pictures in your Picture Pairs folder are previewed below the list and these can be deleted or renamed using the buttons at the bottom.
