adders.org Achievement Awards

ADDerwards

In consultation with some of our forum members, I have produced an award certificate to use when the child in your care does something which you think deserves some extra praise.

These will be called The ADDerwards (adders.org Achievement Awards)

Parents/carers can fill in the form below or send me an email telling me what your child has done, along with the correct spelling of their name, so I get it right! You can either ask me to send the certificate to the child at their own email address, which you will need to tell me or I can send it to your address. This will be as an MS Word document so please make sure your email address can accept attachments. We do regularly scan all items on our computer for viruses so the attachments should all be safe but I would advise that you do scan any attachments which you receive for viruses anyway.

Once your child has received 10 certificates - (and I am going to have to trust you all to be kind to me on how many you send and what for!!) I would ask if you can email me with a land address and I will then send them a small prize through the post.

All of our children need to be recognised for their achievements, because some of the things which are huge steps forward for them, might be fairly common things for non ADD/ADHD children. Consequently they don't always get the recognition from others that they deserve. Therefore I am really hoping that this will be a helpful and enjoyable thing for all of us.

It may be a nice idea if when you write to tell me about an achievement, you don't tell your child, then it will be an even bigger surprise for them.

So we would like to send our Congratulations to Robin for his fantastic achievement and there should be a special prize and a special Bronze Certificate winging its way to Robin by land mail shortly I hope as soon as he sends me that email as above! The second young person to reach 10 Certificates is Nick who reached his 10 on September 5th!! Well done to Nick as well. Anyway to let you all know we have recently received a donation to enable us to purchase a number of small branded items specifically for adders.org so every child who now receives 10 nominations and certificates will receive a special prize of a specially branded adders.org pen or similar I won't spoil the surprise by telling you what other items we have been able to get!

ADDerward Application Form

Change of System for ADDerward Nominations

Please note that this will be done more electronically in the future so please ensure that the details you supply are correct and will look and sound right on the certificate when it is sent out.

For Example - Child's Name - please give child's first name and last name (only first name and last initial will be used on the website). However if you type all in lower case that is how it will look on the certificate - e.g. if you type joe bloggs that is how it will appear - however if you wish to see capital letters at the start of the name please ensure you type it with these on the form - Joe Bloggs.

The achievement area is restricted to no more than 6 words. This will also appear exactly how it is written on the nomination form. Therefore please ensure it reads how you want it to on the certificate. If you want it to say - for "helping his brother" please ensure that is how you type it. However if it is typed - for "helping his brother" that is how it will appear on the certificate and that will not necessarily read quite right when your child receives the certificate.

There will no longer be an extra comments area.

Please also note only one nomination per child per day - it can look rather odd on the list on the website if people see the same name appear more than once per day! If you feel that your child deserves more than one nomination then please feel free to send another nomination form the following day!

Sorry but IF this form is not working properly please feel free to send me an email direct with the details in the same format as the form below until I can get this sorted.

Thanks
