by Joy Pollock and Elizabeth Waller
Wither the child has mild or server dyslexia it affects them at all stages of their education.
All schools, mainstream or special needs, will have children diagnosed with dyslexia who need extra help and support. Therefore all teachers from primary to senior to special needs, need to be aware of signs for detecting the undiagnosed child so that assessment, help and support can be swiftly implemented.
This book gives wonderful advice as to how to recognise specific learning difficulties and give practical help to those children who require it.
The authors give well written advice and guidelines to help these children to learn across the board, language, literacy and numeracy, in clear plain simple language! Also including help on handwriting, study skills and management for the whole classroom, whilst keeping in mind all the other pressure and demands on the class teachers.
Excellent book for all teachers to help them to be fully aware of all teaching methods which help these child's.
