Study into Developing a Needs Assessment Plan for Self-Management of Adult ADHD

Dr. Samantha Clarke of Coventry University wrote to us...A few years ago I was diagnosed with ADHD-C myself – and it has been an eye opener in terms of understanding how it affects different areas of my life alongside coming to terms with a later diagnosis in adulthood. There is less understanding on what non-medication support adults with ADHD may need, especially in different stages of life. This research is aimed to help understand needs and develop co-designed resources for self-management of ADHD symptoms. Anyone between the ages of 21-65 diagnosed or self-diagnosing with ADHD in adulthood is welcome to participate. The ad/survey link is here and is ethically approved from Coventry University:

Developing a Needs Assessment Plan for Self-Management of Adult ADHD

The research aim is to explore community feedback around access to and suitability of non-medication symptom management support/ resources available to adults, aged 21-65 with ADHD who are self-diagnosed, are seeking diagnosis or were diagnosed by a medical professional and who came to a diagnosis of ADHD later in adulthood. The study will gather community feedback to look at gaps/ barriers/ useful support pathways to inform how adults with ADHD manage their symptoms, and how ADHD impacts different areas of their lives, particularly having come to an ADHD diagnosis later in life.
