Stepping From Darkness

Stepping from darkness
And into the light
I feel kinda funny
It doesn't seem right

Will the world before me
Be just like the past
Where nothing is easy
And nothing will last

Mind full of rubbish
Too often its clear
I have no direction
It'll end in a tear

The world is a changing
Each and every day
No way of knowing
I'll ever find a way

Life's so confusing
Happens all the time
Where does it come from
The pain ever mine

The feelings inside me
Are never expressed
My dealings with people
Angry, repressed

One day I'll be happy
The next I'm not
The trouble with this
What have I got

You may think I'm crazy
It matters not now
My life has new meaning
I'll get through it some how

You know I keep smiling
The way it has been
To feel excited
To make a happy scene

Why do they do it
They make such a fuss
It could be so simple
Just let us be us

Mean no harm to no one
We feel the shame
When people are offended
We carry the pain

So to all who came before me
I give my regard
You know how it is
That life can be hard
