WINTER

The darkness that surrounds us,
The blindness in thine sight,
The steps between each doorway,
The children of the night.
Inside each shining ember,
Lies the 'ticks inside the tock',
A brickwall of a vision,
Life's mysterious mental block.
For whom does the bell toll deeply,
For whom does the river flow,
A landscape, within a barren land,
Covered o'er with frost & snow.
