My Little Angel

Dedicated to Liam, the light of my life, the object of my caring, love and and life :)

My little angel, I love him so,
He has ADHD, that I always did know.

Just got the diagnosis, and the medication,
Maybe now he will get a better education.

Teacher said "it's classic attention seeking",
She didn't understand, shame that she can't be in his head a-peeking.

Its a real condition, he's not just doing this for spite,
If they appreciate this, he will get on alright.

The phone calls from school, called into see the head,
My parenting must be dud, no, it's ADHD, the doctor said.

The looks of disapproval, the ignoring from other mums,
When teacher says my boy disrupts the class and refused to do his sums.

No friends call round, nor invite him to parties.
Don't understand why he can't have smarties.

Oh how much I love this child of mine,
I wish I could take ADHD away, but I can't I find.

One to one support at school,
That is what we've got, how cool!

But teacher says this will make him worse,
Boy, the attitude here is a curse!!

So, parent training, medication, and one to one too,
Not keen on the pills, but if it helps, it's what we must do.

Let's hope things improve, it's driving me mad,
Hope they realise my son has ADHD, HE'S NOT JUST BAD!!!
